Hemoccult®
ICT Spells E.A.S.Y. Screening for Colorectal Cancer
Annual
screening for colorectal cancer with a Fecal Occult
Blood Test (FOBT) in persons 50+ is a first line of
defense against colorectal cancer (CRC). Hemoccult
ICT has now made screening easier and more effective
than ever. |

Clinical
trials demonstrate Hemoccult® ICT’s ability
to detect fecal occult blood associated with more
cancers and adenomas (polyps) than existing guaiac
FOBTs. Hemoccult ICT has also demonstrated increased
specificity for lower gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding,
making it an ideal screening tool for colorectal cancer
(CRC).* |

Hemoccult ICT is safe and non-invasive and it
can be performed at home or in the physician’s
office. Hemoccult ICT requires just 5 minutes
of the patient’s time over three days to
complete. |

We made Hemoccult ICT very patient friendly, with
easy-to-follow instructions. Because Hemoccult
ICT is an immunochemical FOBT (iFOBT) there are
no diet and drug/vitamin restrictions that must
be followed prior to and while taking the test. |

For persons 50+ and asymptomatic, an FOBT should
be part of an annual wellness regimen. FOBTs for
CRC screening are proven to detect occult GI bleeding
from polyps and cancer.
