Hemoccult® ICT

Hemoccult’s Newest Gold Standard in FOBTs-Hemoccult® ICT

Hemoccult ICT is the latest and most advanced FOBT in the Hemoccult family of rapid, diagnostic tests. As an immunochemical FOBT (iFOBT), Hemoccult ICT has major advantages over traditional guaiac FOBTs, which make it an ideal screening tool and a superb product for you to recommend to your physician clients1-4:

Superior specificity for lower GI disease and bleeding-makes Hemoccult ICT an ideal CRC screening tool.

Human hemoglobin specific means fewer false positives.

Increased specificity with high sensitivity.

Hemoccult ICT's clinical effectiveness has been established in clinical trials.

No diet or medication restrictions for better patient compliance and test completion.

Better for Your Physician Clients

When physicians switch from guaiac to an immunochemical FOBT, such as Hemoccult ICT, they will be able to provide better healthcare to their patients.

High Sensitivity

The sensitivity for Hemoccult ICT was selected on the basis of a clinical research study using actual patient samples and the findings were used to establish the optimal test formulation for Hemoccult ICT.5-6

High Clinical Specificity

Hemoccult ICT’s excellent clinical specificity has been determined in a group of average risk individuals. The presence of any lower GI pathology that could be related to bleeding was determined by follow-up colonoscopy for all individuals with a positive FOBT. As an immunochemical FOBT (iFOBT), Hemoccult ICT yields inherently superior clinical specificity when compared to guaiac-based FOBTs.5-6

No Diet or Drug Restrictions

Hemoccult ICT does not require any dietary or drug restrictions on the part of patients prior to or during the test period and it can recognize small amounts of human hemoglobin as a biological indicator of gastrointestinal (GI) disease.
